Patel Kuldeep Jashubhai, from Mehsana, finished his secondary course of study with high grades, and through Educate 2 Graduate funding administered through the Higher Education Support Trust (HEST), he was able to successfully complete his education in Information and Communication Technology. Juguntara is the eldest of three children in her family living in Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh. Her father left when she was in 10th grade. With the help of her uncles, she was able to complete her intermediate studies, but since it was her responsibility to manage the household expenses, there was no hope for schooling beyond that. Umang Marsonia is a brilliant recipient of an Educate 2 Graduate scholarship, distributed through the Sister Nivedita Foundation in Rajkot. Umang had a keen interest in electrical engineering, hoping to work in the field one day, but the fees for his education were too high for his parents to afford without help. Read more
Mr. Santosh Telawade is a teacher at the ZP school located in Pune in Maharashtra, where the Y4D Foundation has established a digital lab with the support of Share & Care. Initially, like many of the teachers, Mr. Telawade was unfamiliar with the digital resources and online teaching practices. Read more
Sakshee Mundee, a bright and kind 9th-grader, is a member of the Madhyamik Vidyalaya Mhalunge (Padale) digital lab in Maharashtra, supported by Y4D and Share & Care. When she first began taking classes and workshops at the lab, she was hesitant to touch any of the devices, worrying that she might break them. Read more
Sonal Chaudhary and her husband Mohan are both physically disabled and live in rural Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat. She always found her disability challenging in many aspects of life, but it was particularly challenging financially. Read more
Saroj Gurjar is a 21-year-old woman from a rural area of Rajasthan. Her family of seven is supported only by her father’s farm work, and their financial needs often go unmet. Saroj has been interested in creative activities since childhood, and she learned about the Grameen Vikas Shodh Evam Takniki Kendra (GVSTK) program, supported by Share & Care, in November of 2021. Recently, 25 women received life-changing vocational training from Bhupat Bhai, a Lokmitra serving with ESI, supported by Share & Care, in the village of Lilapur in Gujarat. A total of 12 women received training in the jewelry trade, while 13 received training in stitching. Read more
