Empowering Women through Vocational Training: Women Empowerment
Working alongside local grassroots organizations, our Women Empowerment (WE) program focuses on women in marginalized rural areas who lack economic opportunities and access to education. While our on-the-ground partners provide the physical training centers and local mentorship, we provide the infrastructure, curriculum development, and long-term monitoring necessary for these women to achieve true financial independence.
Partnership in Action: Juguntara’s Story
When her father left the family in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, tenth-grader Juguntara found herself facing the burden of supporting her mother and two younger siblings. While she managed to finish high school with the help of extended family, higher education was no longer an option: her family needed immediate income.
The turning point came at a local center run by our on-the-ground partner, with support from Share & Care. Here, Juguntara found a safe, local space rooted in the community where she could learn intricate traditional embroidery.
Juguntara mastered traditional embroidery. Her natural talent led to her being named an official trainer at the center. Today, she earns a comfortable, steady salary that supports her entire household.
Bridging the Gap: Juguntara’s financial independence unlocked doors that once seemed impossible. She has since gone back to school, earned a computer diploma, and completely changed her family’s future. She isn’t just a provider, she’s a respected leader and educator in her village, inspiring the next generation of young women to follow in her footsteps.

Healthcare Accessibility in Remote Regions: Healthcare 2 Unreached
Our Healthcare 2 Unreached (H2U) program partners manage mobile clinics, community camps, and medical staff who travel across difficult terrains to reach those most in need. As their strategic partner, Share & Care supports the entire operation by funding medical technology, infrastructure, and preventative health camps that local teams would otherwise be unable to afford. Together, we work to ensure that high-quality care reaches the most vulnerable.
Partnership in Action: Nita’s Story
For many women living in rural or underserved areas, specialized preventative healthcare is often entirely absent as an option.
Nita Vipulbhai Kakasaniya had never heard of a Pap smear test, or that it is the primary defense in detecting cervical cancer. That changed when she attended a targeted Cancer Awareness Program run by our specialized local partner and powered by Share & Care.
Nita was educated about cervical cancer risks and decided to get screened. The first test raised a red flag, prompting follow-up procedures, including a colposcopy and biopsy. Nita did indeed have cervical cancer.
Because of our partner’s community program — which provided the medical expertise and the culturally sensitive, on-the-ground education that gave Nita the confidence to get tested — Nita’s cancer was caught in its earliest, most manageable stages. She began immediate treatment, and today, she is completely cancer-free!
Bridging the Gap: Cervical cancer is highly treatable, but only if caught early. Preventative education and screenings are the key to preventing tragic outcomes and saving lives. Educational Equity and Infrastructure: Educate 2 Graduate
Higher education is one of the most powerful paths to social mobility, yet for brilliant but underprivileged students in rural areas, the financial barrier is often impossible. Our Educate 2 Graduate (E2G) program explicitly bridges this gap, ensuring that financial constraints don’t have to dictate their future.
Partnership in Action: Suraj’s Story
Growing up in Jivapar, a small village in the Rajkot district of Gujarat, Suraj Gohel was the son of a local tailor and a housewife. Despite his family’s limited means, Suraj possessed an extraordinary academic drive. His hard work paid off when he sailed through his secondary exams, earning a coveted spot at the prestigious Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA).
However, getting accepted was only half the battle. Funding a master’s degree was a whole new challenge. This is where our local on-the-ground partner stepped in. Backed by Share & Care’s institutional support, Suraj was awarded an E2G scholarship. Suraj was on his way to completing his MBA.
Today, Suraj works at Vistaar Finance, earning an annual salary of ₹1 million ($10,380 USD). This has lifted his entire family out of the cycle of poverty in a single generation.
Bridging the Gap: The true beauty of this ecosystem is its ripple effect. While Suraj is deeply thankful for the financial lifeline that changed his life, he notes that the greatest gift he received was a real-life lesson in the power of philanthropy. This inspired his journey, and Suraj has committed to ongoing support of the foundation, ensuring that other deserving students from villages like his can achieve their dreams.

Partnership in Action: Sarvesh’s Story
Growing up in the remote village of Walke in Maharashtra, Sarvesh Janardan Mhatre watched many of his childhood peers drop out of school early, struggle with addiction, and strive to find any form of living-wage work.
Our local E2S partner stepped in, and Sarvesh saw his opportunity. In his words, he saw “a new path to live a prosperous and meaningful life.” He received the critical resources needed to remain in school and complete his secondary schooling.
But E2S isn’t only about finances. The turning point for Sarvesh was E2S’s dedicated career guidance and counseling sessions, which he says gave him the emotional confidence to aim high. From there, Sarvesh chose a path in engineering.
Sarvesh worked hard and graduated with excellent marks. Today, he works as a Junior Officer for the prestigious Godrej Private Ltd. in Mumbai, earning a stable monthly salary of ₹29,000.
