Heena grew up performing and choreographing Indian folk and Bollywood dances in Toronto and led several Indian dance organizations before training in Indian classical music. Today, Heena is a cultural strategist and South Asian performing arts specialist living in the US and India—- curating, creating, producing, and supporting South Asian performing arts events through her companies MELA Arts Connect.
Rushi Vakil
Executive Producer, Music Director
Rushi brings together Indian classical music with global sounds through Aaditaal Music Project. A composer and producer of original music for live shows, films, ads, and dance, his latest credits include the hit feature film Shubharamabh, India’s biggest animation film Kid Krrish, and the award-winning short film Bhinti Maage.
Rohit Gijare
Choreographer, Dancer
Rohit is a New Jersey native who brings together Indian classical and folk dance forms with modern western dance vocabulary. His latest credits include the National Basketball Association’s 2018 Halftime Show, Star TV Plus’ Just Dance Live (co-choreographer), So You Think You Can Dance (assistant choreographer), Mystic India: The World Tour (choreographer/dancer), and Dance India Dance North America (2nd Runner Up).
