Grant Program

At this time, Share & Care Foundation is only accepting applications from organizations with a pre-existing relationship through our Signature Projects funded after 2021. Grant awards are exclusively allocated to projects within India.

How to Apply

Eligible grant applicants must submit their entire proposal electronically using Share and Care’s online grant application.

Grant Application Criteria

In general, the Share & Care Foundation, funds programs in education, healthcare, and gender equality. We only consider requests that fall within these focus areas. As a reminder, organizations with a pre-existing relationship through Share & Care Signature Projects funded after 2021 may apply at this time.

Grant Conditions

Recipient organizations must adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Provide an official receipt of the grant in Share & Care Foundation’s name.
  2. Submit progress reports, photographs, press coverage, and other relevant materials for donor communication.
  3. Display Share & Care Foundation’s name prominently in marketing materials and acknowledgments.
  4. Financially utilize grants for designated purposes, with appropriate recognition and media exposure.
  5. Furnish audited financial statements, a valid Tax Exemption Certificate, and other mandatory documentation as required by the Indian government such as FCRA and State Bank of India letter with account details.
  6. Budget line items labeled as “Operational Expenses,” and “Endowments” are not eligible for grant funding.
  7. Share and Care does not fund private family trusts/foundations, or political or religious activities.

Selection Criteria

Additional selection criteria include:

  • Minimum one-year existence post-registration.
  • Non-profit status with a focus on social development, devoid of political or religious affiliations.
  • Verifiable physical address and compliance with government regulations and labor laws.
  • Active Executive Board maintaining annual reports, budgets, and audited financial statements.

Program Management Approach

  • Aligning project purpose with the Foundation’s vision.
  • Conducting thorough research and case study comparisons for insightful proposal evaluations.
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and auditing funded projects to assess outcomes.
  • Promoting best practices through cost-effective analyses, outcome evaluations, and success stories dissemination.
