There is an ALS Walkathon that we are asking our friends to support. Sonal is a great friend of the Share and Care Foundation™ and is now very ill.
Dear Share and Care Family,
As you know, Sonal was diagnosed in 2012 with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also called Lou Gehrig’s disease. The ALS Association (ALSA) is working very hard to focus on research, advocacy, and patient care. This is the only non-profit organization fighting Lou Gehrig’s disease on every front. Share and care supports ALSA to help Sonal in her quest to help ALSA affected victims.
Since almost a year, Sonal has been wheelchair-bound and cannot walk or stand. Her fingers are curling so she cannot handwrite or hold things. Her breathing, speaking, chewing, and swallowing muscles have weakened. She is working hard at a national and state level for ALS advocacy and awareness.
ALS is a life taking disease. Most patients die within two to five years. There is no known cause and no cure or treatment for the disease. ALS can strike anyone at any time regardless of age, race, gender, or family history.

MC wishes to recall that Sonal and her husband Nirmal – both are our past active members and have contributed by doing lots of good work. She became inactive because of serious issue with her health. MC feels and urges you all that SCF should go out in strength and show you share and care (including our kids and supporters) and her cause.
